We are born slaves.
We are slaves to our parents’ expectations.
We are told by people who forced us into this world (based on their slavish devotion to a genetic need to procreate):
“If you live under my house, you will obey my rules.”
We go to school, where we are forced to sit in uncomfortable desks for hours a day.
We are slaves to all of our teachers.
We hit puberty.
We becomes slaves to our emotions.
We grow attracted to women, becoming enslaved by our libidos.
We grow up.
We get educations.
We maybe get some respectable careers.
We become slaves to all of our society’s expectations.
We buy houses, enslaving ourselves to banks.
We get married and have children, enslaving ourselves to aging women.
Soon we grow old – too old to change direction.
We are pushed forward, relentlessly, by our masters.
When it’s too late to change, we reflect back on our lives of servitude: “Was that all there was to life? Was that it?”
We all begin our lives as slaves.
Until next time.
Your man,
