Today has arrived and with it another week of opportunity to better your life.
But, maybe you currently feel shitty.
Maybe you’re drained from a weekend of partying and it’s hard to kick-start your energy.
I returned from Las Vegas after a long weekend of partying and my energy level was low.
I woke up this morning, took 3 green tea shots and FORCED myself to get moving.
The hardest aspect of being productive is the initial start.
But once you do that, then you do another task and then another and you start to gain momentum.
Once you have momentum, EVERYTHING else becomes MUCH easier.
While I’m NOT explaining rocket science, it’s important to know the basics to being productive.
The biggest hurdle is the first step.
It’s easy to procrastinate, but procrastination will ruin any chance of getting shit done… and do you want to be a lazy fuck, or do you want to get ahead in life?
I’m sure you want to get ahead in life, so do this:
Pick something small that you need to get done and focus 100% on that alone.
Don’t worry right this minute about ANYTHING else.
Just get that one nagging thing done.
Once that’s done, how do you FEEL?
I bet you feel a little better, have a little more energy, and don’t feel as overwhelmed.
I know I do.
Now, what else do you need to do?
I bet there’s one more thing.
Concentrate on getting that next thing done with 100% focus.
Once that is done, now you’ve gotten two things done, and you’ll start to feel some more momentum.
The key to getting momentum and being productive is taking the FIRST STEP.
Just the first step.
Perfect example is hitting the gym when you feel tired and it’s the last thing you want to do.
This morning working out was the last thing I felt like doing.
So what did I do?
I immediately worked out.
I didn’t eat breakfast.
I took 3 green tea shots and I immediately went to the gym.
It was slow going at first, but by the time I left the gym, I had more energy and was happy I pushed through.
Push yourself.
Take that first step.
Focus on just ONE task and then simply go from there.
You’ll feel better, and get much more accomplished, if you simply push through.
What separates the winners from the losers, is that the winners do what needs to be done NOW, so that later they can do what the losers CANNOT do.
This week when you wake up in the morning, focus on just one task.
Get that one task done with 100% of your focus… and see how your momentum immediately skyrockets.
Until next time.
